Good fiction authors from GB

Kazuo Ishiguro

Kazuo Ishiguro is a fiction novel writer from Britain who was born in Japan.

He has a unique style that you will not find anywhere. He writes so interesting, light, and at the same time so slowly that you can`t understand the first moment what kind of book you handle. But after 5 minutes you feel that you swallow every word and want to catch every moment of reading. And I promise you will be lost in his incredible stories.

Ishiguro’s writing style is deeply empathetic, with a focus on character and emotion rather than plot. His works often explore themes of memory, identity, and the impact of historical events on individual lives. And this makes his works amassing and unforgettable.

His books, what I recommend to read:

  • “Never Let Me Go” (2007)
  • “A Pale View of Hills” (1982)
  • “An Artist of the Floating World” (1986).

I will be honest the book “The Remains of the Day” (1989) I did not read. But this book is in my plan for the next “Book of the Month”.

William Golding

William Golding was an English novelist and poet. His novels often had deep symbolism, which he wanted to explain the darkness of human nature. His stories are about the struggle between reason and instinct. And maybe you will find his stories a little creepy as if you open the box with dirty clothes, but I think this makes these books unique. Find your dark side with his books; open your mind to accept yourself and your nature.

Here are the books that you can read:

“Lord of the Flies” (1954)

“The Inheritors” (1955)

“Free Fall” (1959)

“The Spire” (1964)

“The Double Tongue” (1995)

Good fiction authors from USA

John Steinbeck

John Steinbeck is my favorite fiction author. I don`t know, either because his style of writing is direct, accessible, and deeply empathetic, or because his life experience is close to mine. His books are about social injustice, poverty, and the human experience. At the same time, his writing style combines humor and reality. John believed that good writing should be grounded in a deep understanding of human nature and the complexities of the human experience Maybe that’s why his works are so deep and emotional.

Here are the books that you can read:

  • “Of Mice and Men” (1937).
  • “The Grapes of Wrath” (1939).
  • “East of Eden” (1952).
  • “Cannery Row” (1945).
  • The Short Reign of Pippin IV (1957).

Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman is an English fiction novel author of novels and short stories. His stories are a unique mix of fantasy, horror, and myth. He usually uses folk myths blended with fantasy and our modern life. His writing style is characterized by dark humor, whimsy, and a sense of magic. Plus, and I think it`s the most important, his characters are alive and realistic. He describes the nature of humans so well, that you feel a lot of sympathy with them, like they are here, with you.

Here are the most popular books that you can read:

  • “American Gods” (2001).
  • “Stardust” (1999).
  • “Neverwhere” (1996).
