What kind of fiction book do you like? As for me, I like good stories and this is the most important. I don’t care if this is a horror or love romance. If the story is impressive, interesting, with a lot of action, then I would read it. I’m not a person who likes a long story about beautiful nature without any action, it`s not my type of book. That’s why in this list are interesting novels with action and exciting plots, which makes you addicted for two-three days. This the my lisy of Top Great Fiction Books.

The first fiction book: The Short Reign of Pippin IV: A Fabrication

The Short Reign of Pippin IV: A Fabrication by John Steinbeck. This is my fiction book recommendation because this story is as ridiculous as our life. And this story is as so reality as our daily routine. I promise you will be satisfied with this book.

• Briefly about this plot. It’s a short parody great fiction book about a guy who was elected by a king. He had just normal life, worked, and thought his life was pretty good. But boom… some people in parliament discover some unexpected information: he has some distant relatives in the king‘s family. And because they needed some new king and no other suitable person was available, they decided to elect this man.

The Novel in my Top Great Fiction Books: Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson

The Novel in my Top Great Fiction Books. This story is ignored in all popular book lists, I don’t know why, but I adore this novel and think that it‘s a marvelous philosophical book for every adult. In addition, it‘s a really great fiction story that is a fast read.

• I don’t want to write the plot, because everything, in this case, will be spoiler. But briefly, I can try to explain the main story of this book. It‘s a short novel about a guy, who discover 2 personalities within himself.

I believe you will enjoy this story. Because this book is about us, who fighting with demons inside, about the daily struggle and confrontation between light and shadows. What do you want to choose? What is your choice? Who are you at the end of the day? I’m sure this question is the best characteristic of the book.

My recommendation: read this book, if you enjoy an unusual and mysterious philosophical plot.

The third recommended book: The Shining

The Shining by Stephen King.  Maybe you’ve heard about this book, or maybe you just watched a movie. However, you need to read this story, if you haven’t done so before. I highly recommend it, this is in a list of Top Great Fiction Books.

For me, this is an adorable story about love and trust, but also it‘s a tale about horrible addiction, fanaticism, and the deep psychological problems of addicted people. I like this story for the interesting plot and a lot of fast-paced action. The main reason also why I like this book, it’s an idea of this book that children possess unique universe light in this world.

• Briefly about this plot. This book is about a family who becomes the caretaker of a hotel. In winter they were stuck there, without any communication, and strange events began to occur to them during the isolation. This story is really interesting, creepy, and dark, like all typical books written by Steven King. But I think this book is also deeply philosophical, which helps you to discover something new in this world.

I’m sure you will enjoy this novel, the characters of this story, and the atmosphere of this great fiction book.

The fourth book: Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. You can ask me: “Why do you have this novel in your Top Great Fiction Books? It’s just a typical women’s romance about love”. And I answer: “You are totally wrong because this book is about feminism”. I believe this book is much more than just love romance; this is a story about a woman who fights against rules and traditions. It is about the struggle of women’s 19 century who has the courage to be unique person, not just a thing. She was challenged all over the world and family. I’m really sad when I see the movie “Pride and Prejudice” with the interpretation of a cheap love romance, but missing the larger feminist theme.

• Briefly about this plot. The main character in this book is Elizabeth Bennet. She is a smart, educated woman. The main characteristic of her: she likes to read books, which makes her a more intelligent and obviously independent person. And of course, because of all of this reason, she doesn’t want to marry.

I’m sure you will enjoy this great fiction book. The characters in this book, the love story, and the relaxing plot are wonderful and make you relax and rest.

One of the Top Great Fiction Books: Narcissus and Goldmund (also published as Death and the Lover)

It’s literally one of my favorite novel that truly changed my life. I like this story, characters, and sense of this fictional drama. It is a deep novel about clear and strong friendship and love. This book is full of adventures, questionable actions, love, and the search for the right choice, that never exists.

• Briefly about this plot. The plot revolves around two friends who grew up together in a monastery but chose a different path in their life as they got older. Goldmund leaves the monastery in search of the meaning of life. What will he find at the end? Was it a good choice? What does it mean when you go against written rules? The book gives you many profound questions which change your mind, your life, and the meaning of life.

My recommendation: read this book if you like thinking about the meaning of your life. I’m sure, you will enjoy this drama.
