Fiction is the most popular genre in literature. For decades, fiction has been the most prevalent and well-liked literary form. It helps us reflect on our lives and gives us emotion and new experiences. I like this genre because it can help me drown in a fantasy world. Fiction has three main subgenres, and every subgenre has another additional genre. Here are characteristics of the fiction genre and the most popular authors in this type of fiction.

Type of fiction: Traditional

The traditional style is the first type of fiction book that was created. This style is based on folktales and myths of different nations. 

You can find many folk stories dated 200–600 years ago, but folk became the base of thousands of new fantastic books and has actuality in new literature. Subgenres of traditional fiction are:

The first type of writing usually uses a mix of folk oral stories and fantasy, which helps create an adorable story. These types of books are “Lord of the Rings” or “A Game of Thrones.”
